The Wee Yin Smiley Tee
£35.00
Years ago, Glasgow’s prominent MET Tower got a makeover ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games. “People Make Glasgow” was a bold statement that embodied everything that made our city great. Fast-forward to now and the Commonwealth Games are back. A lot’s changed since 2014, but guess what hasn’t?
What was once a bold declaration to the world is now a run-down, sun-bleached shadow of its former self.
That’s why Founder / CEO of MadeBrave, Andrew Dobbie, has teamed up with creatives and small businesses across the city to make this once-iconic building into something that champions Glasgow’s vibrant creative community and gives us all something to be proud of.
Proudly designed by Conzo Throb, ‘The Wee Yin’ is a reimagining of Roger Hargreaves’ smiley ‘Mr Happy’ character and 1980s slogan — ‘Glasgow’s Miles Better’. Produced by Eaem Studio and BDPrint in partnership with MadeBrave, this collection has been created for the People Make Glasgow building campaign, with all profits going to Peek, a charity supporting children impacted by poverty across Glasgow.
